I like the series. Just the fact that you're keeping up with it every now and then is a testiment. Nice work.

Wha?

Wow. That really wasn't good. Animation? What animation? A jpeg and fading text? And as for the poem - what I saw of it wasn't that great - trite and needy. Of coarse, I can't make a full judgement as I missed the first third of the poem since 20 some lines faded in and out within the first 10 seconds of the "animation". I can't believe the votes this has gotten. It goes to show how desperate average people are to consider themselves "deep". I'm sorry for the harsh criticism, I don't usually like to attack a fellow poet but when you put it up at newgrounds you asked for it. Especially posting it without any notable accompanying animation. Again, sorry.

Constructive Criticism

The artwork and graphics were excellent. The animation could be a hell of a lot better. Try turning out some more frame by frame instead of motion tweening. And although those SOAD songs are a couple of my favorite they didn't blend extremely well - especially the cut off of the first. Definitely got it in you, just a little more time and effort (maybe a better plot idea - just a suggestion) and you'd have a 5'er.

Now see here!@!

Yes, kill Santa. Yes, kill the beloved Curious George. But when you take out Snoopy and Eminem.... well sir, a world of pain awaits you. Nice animation.

I love this series you've started. It gave me a chance to check out the other submissions to your credit and I gotta say, I dig your work. Everything of yours I saw, I gave a much deserved vote of five to. There's something honest about your style, non-presumptuous, and independent. I've seen nothing from you that looks designed with the newgrounds viewership in mind and I'm very pleased at that. I've also checked out your "website" (heh) and though it's completely undeveloped I was able to get a sneak peek at todays Journal entry before it hit newgrounds. You should really look into developing that site - if you keep up the series at all, your bound to get some traffic and traffic can turn into money. ;) Hell, with the kind of effort and quality you turned out with 'TimeCry' you could turn your flash ability into a side income... But I digress. Keep drawing. Your animations, more then anything I've seen here, are what makes NG worth visiting. (How's that for a review, biatch!)

A thought...

Let me address the author for a minute.. I just voted this film a one. I might've given a simple preview like this as high as a three.... The reason you got a one is because you stuck a completely uncompressed and uncut MP3 in this 30 second animation and made me wait to download it. Without the MP3 I'll bet this would've been a less than 200k download. So here's what you need to do in the future... Either go to the Publish Settings in Flash and 'override sound output' so that Audio Streams and Events are at about 20-24kbps and/or get an audio program like CoolEdit and cut the MP3 to NEAR THE LENGTH OF THE FILM.

True.

I'm actually only posting a message so that this movie will show up as #1 on my top 5 favorite movies. Somebody had to say that shit!

Oh, by the way. I'm clinically psychotic.

I liked the inclusion of the cigarette symbol in there. And I very much like the overall concept and point. I'm glad someone is bringing light to the "intelectual sloth" that has become a trademark of the U.S.A. I also like the advocation of action in the face of the woes befalling the world. --- What I don't much cotten to is this obsession with the definition of words and the need to point out for the first 3/4 of the animation what are basically inherent truths. It really bothers me that someone thought these intellectual structures had to be built. There is a voice to all existence that can explain itself and needs no glorified monkey to set his sights on the insulting task of trying to define it.

Excellent.

It's great to see something like this in these times. Something that points out how individually interpretable "truth" is, and that implies each path has it's own significance and value although all may lead to the same evolutional point.
I'm also very impressed at the inclusion of Arabian culture. It's nice to see there are still a few who haven't damned the whole of the world that exists outside the far left and right of traditional American politics/religion.

You gotta...
